Kerb line along church wall

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 410718.

All the road drains along the church wall are blocked with dirt & leaves causing surface water to run right down Court Road. The scheduled cleaning never gets done on these drains as during school term, cars are always parked here preventing access. Is it possible to get these cleared out of school hours so access can be gained? Thanks.

  • Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. We plan to inspect the site during the next instance of significant rainfall (that takes place during working hours) and decide on the best course of action.

    Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
