London road from beech road to ford garage

Reported via desktop in the Road Potholes category anonymously at 18:30, Wed 28 August 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 410767.

This whole stretch of road between the above area has potholes and large areas of tarmac broken. Really needs looking at, a danger to car drivers etc, I would say the main cause of this is due to large Lorry’s (because of M1 work closures constantly) being redirected, the A5 was detrunked from these type of Lorry’s using it years ago. Residents should not have to put up with this inconsideration.

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
