The causeway, Clophill - from end of housing to A507

Reported via desktop in the Road Surface category anonymously at 12:58, Saturday 31 August 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 410866.

The road surface ends abruptly at each side with a small drop onto verge, which is a risk when driving towards A507 and traffic is coming towards you as there is nowhere to pull in. Please could this road be considered for future widening of surface and / or scrape-back where verge is encroaching. We understand that budgetary concerns may not make this work imminent but would like it considered for improvement of safety in future. Thank you.

After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
