Roadway beside pedestrian gateway to bluebell house

Reported via desktop in the Road Surface category anonymously at 16:48, Tue 3 September 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 410953.

There is a dip in the road surface including a fire hydrant manhole, over time this has sunk and repairs to trenches have been filled and have now sunk to the extent that when lorries travel over this, it results in loud rattling noises and when fully loaded, loud banging noises, and our house doors vibrating in there frames. Due to our location we have constant lorries to DS Smith factory and Andersons transport 24/7 we have put up with this for quite some time but we can not sleep at night due to it being 20 feet from our bedroom window. Please can something be done.

  • Customer called that the Anglian Water sorted their part, but the road still has a deep in it and when the lorries pass by the doors in the house shake.
Customer also advised that the markings that were put over the defect are fading out now.
Please can this be fixed as soon as possible as this affects customers life.
