Potton Rd , B1042 from Sandy cemetery all the way to Potton is flooded. Road has a large amount of standing water

    Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.

    This flooding and overflowing gullies are largely the result of extreme weather and the drainage systems all exceeding capacity, rather the drains themselves being blocked. If your road is flooded, please call the emergency hotline number.
    We will continue to monitor the area in a more moderate amount of rainfall and assess at that stage if drains are blocked and if remedial works are required.
