81 High Street, Clophill

Reported via mobile in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category by Jack Warren at 19:50, Tuesday 1 October 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 412564.

The road was resurfaced and a speed bump introduced for the school. Since then, when we have heavy rainfall, my house is now lower than the road and the bump splits the flow both to the school and towards my house.

More recently, the overwhelmed drain has also been forcing the water to come up through the drains and flood the top of my drive and by my Porch.

The problems with the school are well documented and I can see efforts underway to reduce the impact there. When a resolution is put in place, I’m keen to ensure the issue at my house is also resolved.

As an aside, the pavement outside the house is in quite a poor state too, as previously reported.

Thanks

Jack
