East 10 metres past Wrestlingworth Road, SG19 2DP

Reported via iOS in the Signs category by Chris Davey at 11:10, Wed 9 October 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 412946.

The two chevrons on photo with post and one of the chevrons next along road. Have all been struck by a vehicle, they had all been spun round, I have got them back to face right way. But as second photo shows they have all been damaged beyond repair I would suggest and do need realigning. Since installing as part of a speed reduction campaign headed up by CBC they have had a clear effect on traffic passing our houses making people more aware of the bend. We clearly need them replacing with some urgency before they break completely

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
Due to current budget constraints, we are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
