Tree needs trimming and cleaning - health hazard

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 15:43, Sat 26 October 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 413735.

Apple tree has grown a lot. There is a lot of apples falling and make a lot of mess.Multiple people have slipped and almost fell stepping on apples that are everywhere. My 3 year old had an apple fall on his head. This is definitely a health hazard and needs to be looked at! I'm cleaning daily the path walk from apples but it's impossible.

  • There are hundreds of apples fallen down. I've cleaned most of the path but it's not possible to gather all these and put them in the bin.

  • Thank you for contacting us. Sorry to hear of the situation, and the potential injury. We cannot, however, prune all our trees to alleviate season nuisance. We can only currently rectify safety critical tree issues. The Environmental Services Department, within Central Bedfordshire Council, do clear some paths in the county, maybe they can help.

    Many thanks,
