2nd concrete bollard on the pavement outside of the old Lloyds Bank
Reported via iOS in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 18:32, Sat 26 October 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 413738.
In front of the old Lloyds bank/new Turkish restaurant there were 2 concrete bollards and one plastic one. They have gradually all been removed. This concrete bollard was recently removed but the bottom 6 inches remain. This is a dangerous trip hazard especially at night as the path is not lit there.
It appears to have been intentionally removed because there are drill marks where it was severed.

Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
We already have maintenance work planned in for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of this work. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP).We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx
