Footpath becoming completely impassable and is overgrowing and affecting the resident of the house directly next to it.

  • Thank you for reporting this issue. I have investigated and found the path to be fully accessible and not obstructed. The land the footpath is on is not owned by CBC and we did not plant these shrubs/trees. The land is owned by the original developer and I will try to contact them to remove these bushes/trees. In the meantime, the house adjacent to them are within their rights to cut back any overhang into their property but need to be aware that they will have to dispose of any vegetation, as to deposit it on the highway (the footpath) constitutes an offense of fly tipping.
