Between 66 Dunstable Rd and green barn Totternhoe
Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category by Totternhoe Parish Council at 15:39, Wed 13 November 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 414419.
I refer to your response to original report ref 412611. Your response is unacceptable and I request an urgent review. The section of footpath in question is at its widest only 700mm wide. National minimum standard is 1800mm. There is insufficient room for two pedestrians to pass. The road is heavily trafficked, and the footpath in constant use by schoolchildren, parents with prams, and the disabled. A safety risk if users have to step out in the road. Please revisit earlier decision as a matter of urgency before an accident occurs.
