Boundary hedge of Ardley Hill School, Lowther Road, Dunstable.
Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 09:24, Wed 20 November 2024
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 414671.
Over many years, this hedge has been allowed to grow through the fence to the point where it is now restricting the footpath to less than the required width, particularly to the North of the school entrance. Consequently it is not possible for parents and children to walk along the pathway side-by-side without walking on the grass verge. RISK of CHILDREN RUNNING INTO the ROAD RISK of ELDERLY SLIPPING and FALLING because of insufficient Pavement width. INADEQUATE SPACE FOR WHEELCHAIR AND PUSHCHAIR ACCESSIBLITY It may be that this is not the responsibility of the council, in which case perhaps it would be possible to recommend to the responsible authority that all the hedges be cut back to the boundary fence.
