Light number 4. And 5 not lighting on when dark

Reported via desktop in the Not Turning on category anonymously at 08:47, Tue 26 November 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 414933.

The streetlights numbers 4 and 5 on the Rye lane are not working when dark. It’s particularly dangerous for pedestrians as drivers tend to flash pedestrians when travelling towards them as the pavement is narrow and visibility poor. The telegraph pole numbers are 865241 and 865239

Updates

  • Despite reporting this issue on light 4 and 5 on 26th November (ref 414933) I'm concerned that only one light has been repaired as of 13th December, the lamp on telegraph post 865241 is still in-operative.and a real danger to pedestrians. If someone is knocked down by an oncoming car then the council must be held responsible (as the operative lights are far apart) and i've already provided notification. In addition the street lights 22 and 102 (latter by the methodist church) on Eaton Bray road are not working
