Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 415025.
Do to leaf drop the amount of leaves fulling is such that the kerb can no longer be seen. This varies depending on the direction of the wind, the drains are also blocked. The surface of the pavement and the road is slippery due to the waxy nature of this type of leaf. During the summer the road sweeper was regularly working on riverside however now, when desperately needed. It has not been seen. A couple of weeks ago a member of your staff was seen blowing leaves off the main road, there is always very few leaves on the main road due to the volume of traffic, onto the grass however this was a complete waste of time. Last week I saw your road sweeper go up and down a cul de sac, approximately 200/300 metres long, about 6 times, there is no leaf problem there but that bit of road was incredibly clean but, unbelievably, came nowhere near riverside gardens. I feel this is now a health and safety issue especially when the kerb can't be seen. There are a lot of elderly people on the estate and I'm sure no one wants to feel responsible should someone slips and falls Please can you get this sorted as a matter of urgency before someone is injured
