Pavement, hedging and overgrown vegetation

Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 10:25, Saturday 30 November 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 415141.

I sent this message in July and again in early November. I was told it was passed internally between departments. No one has got back to me. Please help and respond.

Between Gibraltar Cottages and the buys stop opposite Gibraltar Farm on the A1081 I contacted Mid Bedfordshire CC on 31 July 2024 to ask for clearance and cutting back on this public footpath alongside the busy AI081. I was told my report was passed to Waste Services who are responsible for clearing the pavements and cutting back shrubs and large weeds etc. This was passed on during the summer (in August). It is now November and the weeds, brambles and growth of vegetation has restricted the path to the bus stop opposite Gibraltar Farm has obstructed one third of the tarmac. Please could we have some response and action to clear this much used public footpath ? It was last cleared about three or four years ago.
