I have received a notification that my reported pothole (415172) is not considered a priority for repair. It is evident that the investigator is neither a cyclist nor aware of the dangers that potholes impose on cyclists. The outer edge of the pothole is 80cm from the kerb and a similar distance in length. It is on the alignment normally taken by cyclists. Regarding potholes, cyclists are the most vulnerable road-users. In my judgement, this pothole is a potential danger to cyclists. The priority is need be reviewed. Although no longer formally involved in campaigning, for fifteen years I was the right-to-ride representative for Mid-Bedfordshire.

An order has now been raised to rectify the identified issue and this will now be added to our programme of works. This pothole was reported as CRN 415402. During December 2024 the pothole was partially filled with stone chippings. No asphalt was applied. Being on a slope, rain has gradually washed most of the chippings onto the roadway. Attached are two photos taken this on 30 January.. When is the pothole going to be properly filled?
