Thorn Road between the Amazon turning and the junction with Millard Grange

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 415562.

The whole road is in an appalling state of disrepair and has been for some considerable time. It presents a paricular danger to cyclists.

1. There are numerous potholes the length of the road; 2. The road surface is uneven and irregular and iron work pretrudes the surface by several inches in places; 3. The drainage is insufficuent and the road regularly foods.

    We are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
