Very large tree leaning precariously over road, at great risk of falling over public road

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 12:57, Tue 24 December 2024

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 416122.

A large yew branch has fallen onto a tall tree causing it to lean precariously over the road into Goodwood Close (roughly adjacent to the fallen lamppost next to the brook). When windy, the tree creaks and cracks and seems close to toppling over the public road, causing danger to road users and pedestrians. The wood is not council owned but the council has previously referred necessary tree works to the owner for urgent attention.
