Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 416638.
Cars are continuing to speed around this sharp bend. A crash happened on 6/1/25 when I was putting my baby daughter in the car and it came up onto our drive, just missing us. This is the second incident since we moved here in August and a car ploughed into our front. We'd like more speeding measures in place or fences to keep our home safe.

Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. Requests for speed limit changes/traffic calming will be reviewed and prioritised accordingly against all other requests across the county. We do not alter speed limits based on the perception of an issue. Requests will be reviewed based on a number of factors including collision history and independent traffic volume and speed counts over a 7 day, 24 hour period, along with meeting suitability with DfT guidance and prioritised accordingly. Should the request meet all the criteria it may be added to the Capital Works Programme for future years.

Just wondering what it.ll take for anything to be done about this? Will a third car need to crash into the house or will someone have to be seriously injured first? This bend is also near a school and opposite a park.
It also isn.t logged here but the previous owners had to replace the wall near the gate before we moved in in 2023 as a car crashed into it.
