Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 416866.
The slow down sign has not worked for some time. There should be more speed restrictions, car speed through village. Reported once no response. There was a near miss a few days ago when two cars speeding skidded. You seem to think it is ok ignoring warnings but should an accident happen it will be noted that this situation is being ignored because I no doubt budgets.

Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. Requests for speed limit changes/traffic calming will be reviewed and prioritised accordingly against all other requests across the county. We do not alter speed limits based on the perception of an issue. Requests will be reviewed based on a number of factors including collision history and independent traffic volume and speed counts over a 7 day, 24 hour period, along with meeting suitability with DfT guidance and prioritised accordingly. Should the request meet all the criteria it may be added to the Capital Works Programme for future years.
