Flooding & black ice on the junction of Brickhill Road

Reported via mobile in the Surface water on Highway category anonymously at 17:59, Friday 10 January 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 416876.

Flooding at bottom of Brickhill Road as enters Woburn Road. Whole road flooded & bow wave water has flooded the green & footpath causing unnecessary ice/ slippery surface.

Regular issue - has happened again today with no rain or thawing of water on the fields.

Drains are ineffective.

Water is also flowing down the carriageway at the side of Woburn road from this corner & goes down beyond the vets turn & goes into another drain- continuous stream.

Also flooding on the footpath alongside this issue- it flows on the path at times- always all three linked so is a very regular & joint problem not just a coincidence.

Regularly reported & never resolved. Has been occurring for the last few years, not before.

Currently potential hazard for black ice/ accident
