Outside 36 Steppingley Road, on corner next to Beaumont Road

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 18:04, Friday 10 January 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 416877.

This council tree fell down nearly two months ago in Storm Bert and still had not been dealt with! I have already reported this issue once under reference 415082 and it was closed with no explanation. I am very happy to move the fallen tree back into the middle of the road and get an emergency response if that is the only way to get this problem solved! Please do not ignore this time! Thank you.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.
An order has now been raised to rectify the identified issue and this will now be added to our programme of works. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP)

We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways
