Hi I would like to report a street light not working please. It is situated outside of 142 Hitchin Rd. It is an extremely dark road as street lights are only on one side of the road and where traffic is fast. There have been many many instances of the cars parked here being hit by cars including three of our own. It has not been working since last summer. I am aware of at least 2 other people who have reported it to your office. This park of Hitchin Rd has been closed on two occasions in the last few weeks for ntl and telegraph pole replacement and I would have thought that this could have been an ideal opportunity to fix this light too.   • Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. Our engineers have inspected and found a fault with the power supply which is owned and maintained by the electricity provider. We have requested that they investigate and make a repair (their target timescale is 28 days). We will continue to monitor this issue until it is resolved. Please contact us again after that time if the light is still out.
