Footpath between Church Road and New Road

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 417715.

The surface of this footpath is a mixture of tarmac, uneven bricks, some broken, and holes. It is very dangerous to walk down due to these damaged surface issues. Using it in the rain today, twice I almost fell due my foot and ankle giving way as it slipped on the uneven surface and only just managed to prevent myself falling. I have reported this before but with no apparent response. It has been in this state for many years.

    We are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
