Just before the entrance to New House Farm LU7 9BW on Gaddesden turn.

Reported via desktop in the Road Potholes category by Richard Edwins at 16:07, Monday 27 January 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 417723.

The pot hole has been getting worse over the months, there is no path on this road so you have to walk in the road, a lady twisted her ankle and fell over in this hole, as you can see in the photo there are large lumps of loose tarmac ready to come out which will make it much worse, 2 years ago this part of the road was going to be resurfaced but it was never done.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.
An order has now been raised to rectify the identified issue and this will now be added to our programme of works. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP)

We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx
