A507 right outside the council offices

Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 15:03, Sunday 2 February 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 418131.

Please see case 417860

Your response says engineers have inspected the area and no further action is required. There’s a dead deer in the middle of the cycle path/footpath. How can no further action be required? In the dark, even with good bike lights, it’s hard to see and it’s right where the path goes either side of a big road sign so hitting the deer could launch a cyclist into the sign causing injury or death. As I say how can no further action be appropriate ?
