There is a large pot hole in the road. Where cars park in the street on the other sidebof the road, all the cars drive over this pot hole. The hole has gone through two layers of road and has exposed mud and gravel below. This has grown over the past few months and has got deeper. Without repair this will cause damage to smaller vehicles hitting it.

  • I have reported this previously. This hole is getting larger and deeper. Chasm would be a better word to describe it. This is now causing a danger to parked vehicles and pedestrians. Large chunks of tarmac and large underlying stones are now being flung out when heavy goods vehicles drive over it. It is only a matter of time before a car is damaged from flying debris or simply damage to the suspension as a result of driving through this. THIS NEEDS ATTENTION!!!

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
    We already have maintenance work planned in for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of this work. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP).
