The Beds side of Edlesborough Ford is in a dreadful state. THis has been exacebated by the recent large increase in traffic caused buy the closure of Bower Lane for gas repairs. This stretch of road needs tobe repaired PROPERLY. Just dabbing a bit of tarmac in the worst holes is not good enough, it doesnt last long and costs the council far more in the long run than doing the job properly in the first place.

    We are having to prioritise repairs for defects that pose higher risks in accordance with our Network Management Maintenance Plan assessment criteria, the details of which can be found online http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    After inspecting the reported issue, our engineers have determined that this doesn't currently feature as a priority for repair. Rest assured, we'll continue to monitor the defect during future inspections. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your report.
