Updates

  • Hi there. Thank you for your report. I will do a site visit next week. We do not own land over which public rights of way and are only responsible for surface vegetation so any trees would be the landowner's responsibility. We havent carried out any recent work in this area so im not sure about any cut down tree branches - landowner? or someone else's work?

  • I think having a look at your description you mean Footpath 6 which runs from Elmwood Crescent to Townfield Road but your pin is on Bridleway 3 which runs from Hornes End Road to Water Lane. I will have a look at Footpath 6 but let me know if you do mean Bridleway 3. There is currently no budget left but we can see if there are any local volunteers who may be available to do some vegetation clearance work.

  • Pin moved to correct location. Our local volunteer had a look down the path for us. He couldn't find any cut down branches obstructing the path, so perhaps someone has already cleared any that there were. He also located the bramble you mentioned and says it is not obstructing the path, but will cut it back in the next few weeks before it becomes a problem.
