Woburn Road, outside Hockliffe school
Reported via mobile in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 08:20, Sat 1 March 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 419863.
It’s becoming more and more dangerous for children to cross for school. There is no lollipop lady nor any way to request crossing at the traffic lights. People ignore the speed limit and will accelerate rapidly from the traffic lights past the school. Some cars are doing in excess of 50mph past the school. Cars routinely stop over the dropped curb whilst in traffic, meaning kids can’t even attempt to cross safely. Why is it that every other school in the whole area have 20mph zones around their schools and zebra crossings but we, the residents of Hockliffe have nothing.
