Pathway along Pages Park from Richmond Road toward Billington Road

Reported via desktop in the Not Turning on category anonymously at 09:25, Wednesday 12 March 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 420432.

It is NOT lamp 16b as fix my street does not allow to report a broken lamp in the park as it is not on a road. There are two in pages park along the footpath from Richmond road towards Billington road, I cannot report a lamp number as none of these have them attached but it is the second and third lamp as walking along this path. I have reported it before and been told they are fixed but this is not the case.

Updates

  • Customer called in for an update. He says it is in Pages park.

It is the 2nd and 3rd lampost coming from Richmond Road towards Billington Road.

  • These lamps are still out despite phoning over a month ago, how hard can it be!!

  • These are still not working as pictures clearly show. Please update the situation as the dark nights are now coming and this WILL be a trip hazard due to no lighting on the uneven pathway. To reiterate they are the second and third street lights along Pages park walking from the Richmond Road end.

  • I have now been told this is a utility problem and my new report has been closed, thanks for not allowing me to respond hence why I am commenting here! How can two street lights in pages park be a water or gas providers responsibility? This feels like a fobbing off from the council yet again. Why should I have to trawl through all the utility companies in the area to then probably be told it is a council responsibility? Surely a public park IS the responsibility of the council or they at least know who it belongs to! Utter joke and no doubt this message will also be ignored again.
