Shefford Rd
Reported via mobile in the Road Potholes category anonymously at 06:45, Monday 24 March 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 420982.
Shefford Road is in an extremely poor condition with a couple of dozen potholes between the A507 roundabout & the entrance to Stocking Drive.
Some of the potholes are so deep they would cause serious damage to cars, hence drivers are having to swerve into the middle of the road.
The road needs a resurface urgently before a bad accident happens or cars get damaged.
The road has been left for too long now following the new housing construction work.

Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
We already have maintenance work planned in for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of this work. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP).We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx
Many thanks,
