A507 on the approach to the roundabout

Reported via mobile in the Road Potholes category anonymously at 18:38, Tuesday 25 March 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 421119.

This pothole has been growing for weeks and is several inches deep. The pothole is situated to the left of the carriageway but another pothole is developing on the right, making them both difficult to avoid, especially to those unfamiliar to the route or infrequent users of the A507.

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
We already have maintenance work planned in for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of this work. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP).

We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx
