Uneven road surface
Reported via desktop in the Road Surface category anonymously at 15:00, Sunday 30 March 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 421299.
Hi look, i am really sorry, but the road has just been resurfaced and it has ripples, it is not smooth and will deteriorate quickly if not corrected. It was so disappointing, the portion at the top by the roundabout on to the bypass is ok, its the bit lower down as you head towards the railway bridge. If you haven't paid the contractor don't they have done a poor job and it will cost you more later to resolve.

There are plans in place to repair a large section of this road, at the start of May. Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
We already have maintenance work planned in for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of this work. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP).We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx
Many thanks,
