Fence broken

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7416280.

The fence is broken allowing motorbikes etc easy access to the bridleway

  • Thank you for your report. The fence is not owned by CBC but we will contact the owner (i believe still the developer of the development). Illegal motorbike access into the countryside is a Road Traffic Act offence and something for the police to deal with as anti-social behaviour. All incidents should therefore be reported to the police via 101.

  • The H M land registry https://www.gov.uk/ government/ organisations/ land-registry has been checked and the land is still owned by the same developer. We will write them a letter about the broken fence. The police have been given this ownership information previously and land registry is a public searchable information source for a small charge.
