2 sets of potholes, which catch tyres when navigating roundabout
Reported via mobile in the Road Potholes category anonymously at 12:07, Fri 18 April 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 422061.
Issue has been here for many months but progressively getting worse use to volumes of traffic. Approaching the mini roundabout from Park Road North (driving away the direction of Houghton Regis towards Sandringham Drive) there is a cluster of potholes in the left hand lane (for heading straight on and left Sandringham Drive). Continuing around the roundabout in the left lane to go straight on, there is another series of potholes at the exit junction of Sandringham Drive that are deep enough to pull your car to the side when having to drive over, as your wheels are slightly turned - To avoid them you have to take a deep swerve almost into a kerb, or swerve into the right lane, which at busier times when right swerving isn’t an option due to other cars, means risking driving over them.

Still no update, other than this has been going on so long, that I checked and even a year ago on Google Maps, the problems were visible. It has gradually got worse over the year.

Update on your report:
After inspecting the reported issue, I can confirm that an order has been raised for this defect to be repaired, which we anticipate will be carried out within the next 12 weeks, subject to weather conditions and emergencies.
Many thanks,
