A6 driving in the overtaking lane

On Wednesday 16th April, whilst travelling to work in Priory House Shefford I hit a pothole. I was overtaking a slow moving vehicle. I cannot say how long the actual pothole I hit has been there as there are numerous potholes along this stretch of road. I managed to get to Priory House and park my vehicle. The AA could not fix the tyre and they advised that I arrange for the tyre to be replaced in situ and not drive the car any further. A mobile tyre fitter managed to fit a new tyre the following day. A arranged for a colleague to drop me home and pick me up the next day to collect my car. The cost of the new tyre was
