Car park of 79 kiln way

Reported via mobile in the Overhanging private property category anonymously at 14:53, Wednesday 23 April 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 422207.

This property has residence parking next to the property. I’m contacting you today regarding a very large tree that overhangs this car park causing damage to my car as my designated parking space is directly below this overhanging tree.

The address that the tree is located at is on the other side of our car park fence in a car park at the below address - in which I spoke to Peter newton and they advised it should be a problem to cut back the tree from my side of the car park

Peter Newton Pavillion Skimpot Road Dunstable Bedfordshire LU5 4JU

I contacted the company that deals with any Maintenance or repairs that the building and the car park needs, Paradigm Housing Group, and was told there was nothing they could do regarding trimming the tree back and was told to contact yourselves. I didn’t think this was the case if it’s overhanging another property, i thought you could trim down the overhang but hopefully you can give me clarity on this. The maintenance company may need permission from yourselves to trim back the tree?

I have enclosed pictures of where the tree is located on my side of the car park and on the other side where the tree is based at the Peter Newton Pavilion car park.

I look forward to hearing from you regarding this matter before MY CAR is damaged further.
