Street light no 5 Kimberwell Close,LU5 6EN
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 422328.
The street light number 5 is not working and hasn't been for ages,it's very dark and dangerous with it not working,there is an alleyway near by and this needs the street light as well as the pathway

Thank you for your Highways report.
An order has now been raised to rectify the identified issue and this will now be added to our programme of works. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP)

Resident informed contractors arrived and worked on the light last week, but it is still not working.

Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. Our engineers have inspected and found a fault with the power supply which is owned and maintained by the electricity provider. We have requested that they investigate and make a repair (their target timescale is 28 days). We will continue to monitor this issue until it is resolved. Thank you for contacting Central Bedfordshire Council. We have carried out a further investigation in relation to the issues with street light number 5. We have identified an issue with the underground electricity cable that feed this column. We have raised a fault for this with UK Power networks to investigate and resolve the problem as the issue lies within their power network.
