Davy Drive/School Lane, Shefford
Reported via desktop in the Overhanging private property category anonymously at 09:36, Mon 12 May 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 422851.
I live at 21 Davy Drive and the trees from the other side of the fence are over hanging my garden and blocking light, shedding as well dropping sap onto my patio. I believe the land in between me and School Lane belongs to the council and would like someone to come out and cut the overhanging foliage if removing them is not possible.

Thank you for making a report, however, Central Befordshire Council are not responsible for this matter, and therefore the report will now be closed.
None of the land here is owned/adopted by CBC. The land to the side of the property would be owned by the school, and the land to the back will likely still be under the ownership of the developer. School Lane itself is private/unadopted.
Incidentally, if CBC did own the land, as per our Policy we don't prune trees for seasonal issues such as leaf drop, sap drop, fruit fall, bird mess etc. We also won't prune trees to allow additional light into property, as there's no 'right to light' law.
Many thanks,
