On corner of Elm Road opposite house 44,46,48

Reported via mobile in the Hazardous or dead tree category anonymously at 13:44, Tue 13 May 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 422935.

The Tree is on the corner of Elm Road leading off of Ivel road. It is very over grown it need to be maintained, when heavy good vehicles and buses come through. They are smashing into the very low branches and debris is fall on to near park cars. Also when we get very strong winds it looks very dangerous as it could fall towards row of houses on Ivel road. It just needs to be maintained and trimmed back.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.

We are currently assessing the matter and further information is currently being collated to assist us. If anything further is required from yourself as the person reporting the issue, one of our engineers will contact you using the contact details provided.

We are aware that this tree needs lifting to a height of 5.2m to ensure clearance from high vehicles. The tree itself isn't owned by CBC, and it's also protected. We will contact our Planning team, and the landowner to try and get this sorted as soon as possible.

    Many thanks,
