Pothole by hidden kerb in grass verge edge, near sign posts, opposite MeppershallRoad junction

Reported via mobile in the Road Potholes category anonymously at 16:20, Saturday 7 June 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 423845.

Found this pothole while driving around a diversion, in place in Shillington until October 2025. Grass verge was slightly overgrown and I hit this pothole, causing me to then hit the hidden kerb - and because I was already in the pothole, it damaged my tyre (despite only travelling around ~25mph). I don't know how long it's been around but the 2025 copyright Google street view suggests it's been growing and present at least since the start of this year. With the growing traffic quantities being diverted in this direction, I can only imagine notifications of this and other potholes, and complaints of vehicle damage, will increase.
