A507 approx 100m before Lidlington turn
Reported via mobile in the Signs category anonymously at 16:07, Sunday 8 June 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 423862.
The damaged direction sign indicates right turn from A507 towards Lidlington has been hit by a vehicle . The bottom half of the sun has twisted and is hanging on by one bracket. It is a large piece of metal that is swinging in the wind and when large vehicles pass. It is a danger to road users. It has been reported previously but I don't think the existing hazard has been appreciated. This needs to be inspected and actioned.

Email from resident :
I made a report about a damaged sign . This sign has already been reported by others on 2 occasions. On both occasions your reply was the standard .
"We already have maintenance work planned in for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of this work. I recd the same response to the report I made on Sunday
My report however was that the sign is actually dangerous and a part of the sign is hanging by one bracket. This is not acceptable and does not meet basic safety standards as the defect has not been inspected.
