Outside driveway of 4 Fairfield Road

Reported via desktop in the Road Potholes category by Jeff Woodall at 09:30, Wednesday 11 June 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 423990.

A deepening hole which has been here for several months is getting much worse and causing a real problem for getting in and out of my driveway. It is damaging my tyres and suspension having to drive over this continuously several times everyday. There was almost an accident the other day because someone tried to drive around it and nearly hit a child! The whole road was attended to approx 6 -12 months ago and this hole was ignored even after I asked the workman to fill it in as well. I expect the hole to be fixed urgently. My council tax contributions have gone up year on year and I don't expect to live on a road that you deem to be not important enough. I understand you have may to attend to but that includes this ever growing pot hole that I could easily twist my ankle on. You have a duty of care here and if it is not attended to urgently I will be sending you the bill for new tyres and any damaged caused to my car's suspension by continuously driving over it. Safety is surely the priority here????
