///reveal.hope.sector. Watling Street nr. Sewell Dunstable.

Reported via mobile in the Public Rights of way category by Sue Jenkins at 05:09, Thu 12 June 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7697016.

The flight of stairs/steps is heavily overgrown. The public right of way at the bottom of the steps and around two sides of the field is difficult because the crop of wheat has been sown to the edge of the field. This is the Chiltern way. Sorry no photos. ///reveal.hope.sector

Updates

  • Thank you for reporting this issue. We are aware of the growth of the trees/hedge into the path and they are scheduled to be cut back at the end of bird nesting season. The land owner is also aware that he has encroached onto the line of the path and our contractor will cut a path through when he has this path scheduled. The steps have previously been cleared and maintained by the Chiltern Society volunteers and we can look at scheduling them in again.
