Silsoe Road from Wardhedges to Ampthill rd Silsoe
Reported via desktop in the Obstructing visibility, footway, road, or sign category anonymously at 10:34, Fri 13 June 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 424102.
The overhanging trees on both sides of the road are creating significant challenges for our drivers, who are struggling to navigate the route without damaging the upper-deck windows—where children are seated. In some cases, our driver is forced to move onto the opposite side of the road to avoid the branches, which creates a risk of conflict with oncoming traffic.
We are requesting, as a matter of urgency, that the trees along this route be cut back before a serious incident occurs involving injury to a child or a collision with another road user.
I will also be forwarding this to School Transport for their awareness and support.
