Pavement on New Road opposite Haycock Gardens
Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 12:09, Fri 27 June 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 424624.
The hedge is growing over and completely obstructing the pavement along a section of New Road opposite the junction with Haycock Gardens. There is no alternative pavement at this point on New Road and pedestrians are being forced to walk in the road. This is at a road junction and near a vehicle width-restriction. This is a significant safety concern especially as drivers have multiple road complexities to contend with, increasing the risk to pedestrians forced to unexpectedly (from a driver's perspective) walk in the road.

Thank you for your Highways report.
The hedge itself is not CBC owned - we will need to contact the landowner to request that this is actioned as soon as possible.
Many thanks,
