Entrance to Greensand Ridge, MK43

Reported via mobile in the Road Surface category anonymously at 13:42, Sunday 29 June 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 424667.

This black Peugeot pictured has been parked at the entrance to our road, Greensand Ridge, for approximately three months. The owner of the car posted on Facebook that the car has broken down. They live in the immediate area but not in Greensand Ridge. I have had dangerous situations with other vehicles turning left off High Street into Greensand Ridge at speed (off the hill). I am also aware that other residents of the road have had similar issues. With the abandoned Peugeot parked at the end of the road, very close to the junction, you have little time to pass the Peugeot and pull over back to the correct side of the road. There are often several cars parked along the road, behind the Peugeot, who also do not live in our road which is creating a one way road for entrance and exit. Compounding the issue of avoiding cars entering the road at speed as we attempt to exit. At times cars also park in front of the Peugeot, almost on the junction, obscuring the view of cars driving on High Street. This is also a danger.
