Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 424767.
The drain is exposed and there is a deep hole. My friend stopped to give me a lift and my foot went down the hole and got stuck as I went to get in her car. The drain was covered in leaves so was not visible. We managed to free my leg but I have extensive bruising to my left calf and discomfort in my arm where I fell. I am also very shaken up I am 74. My friend has also reported the incident.
