Public Footpath down Apsley End from junction with Hanscombe End to nearly no.8.
Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 15:16, Thu 3 July 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 424868.
The vegetation overgrowing this footpath has been reported before but no action and now probably at its peak - full of brambles, trees growing from the brook and over the railings. So dangerous now as people having to walk in the road. Traffic volume and speed huge due to Hanscombe End being closed by Anglian Water for 6 months and now Pirton Road closed (apparently 2-3 days too) due to someone having stolen underground phone cabling. Chaos and so dangerous for pedestrians. Urgent attention needed.

Just to add that diversion routes are sending most of the village traffic down Apsley End at the moment.
